The pay range for this position is $17 - $22/hour. New Housekeepers will start at $18/hour.
HCC Housekeepers ensure the Club continually meets the highest possible standards for cleanliness and polished presentation. They work as a well-coordinated team to promptly remove and appropriately handle waste, including maintenance of the disposal area. To accomplish this they clean, dust and polish, sweep, scrub and wax both by hand as well as using various machines. Housekeepers can communicate effectively with guests and management in order to address needs and report items or areas needing attention including safety issues. Responsible for replenishing supplies including linens, Housekeepers send out dry cleaning, do laundry and oversee restocking, keeping storage areas clean and tidy. With a great deal of responsibility for complying with health department and OSHA standards, HCC Housekeepers are experts at safely handling all chemicals and cleaning supplies, safe storage techniques, keeping floors dry and the identification and elimination of trip and all other potential hazards in accordance with policy and procedure. This position involves long periods of standing, lifting from up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling and stooping, reaching up to high shelves, pushing and correctly using commercial cleaning equipment including carpet shampooers, vacuums and steam cleaners. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience cleaning, including experience using carpet shampooer, steam cleaner and vacuum; experience in a similar luxury environment preferred
- Self-motivated individual able to use good judgment, flex and change speedily under challenging circumstances
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English; Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Team player with can-do attitude, able to work well with others, resolving problems quickly and effectively
- Able to work well under pressure, keep up with the workload, stand on feet and use correct body posture to do manual labor all day
- Organized and proactive
- Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by management
- Punctual and reliable
