Job Description:
Hillsboro Aero Academy's operations are expanding so that we are now accepting applications for an avionics technician experienced with installations and trouble-shooting on airplanes and helicopters. This is a key position in a growing, dynamic general aviation company based in the Portland, OR area.
Job Duties:
- Installation of new avionics equipment in airplanes and helicopters
- Troubleshooting and repair of installed avionics in customers' aircraft, including our flight school fleet of over 90 aircraft.
- Constant variation in dealing with new technology avionics as well as legacy equipment - no two days will be exactly alike.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with installations and repair of avionics in general aviation aircraft
- Experience with avionics in both single and multi-engine airplanes and helicopters
- Experience with Garmin, Bendix-King
- Flexibility in work schedule
- Potential travel on short notice for limited duration
