Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
Full time (Nights) 7pm-7am | 36 hours/week, including weekends on a rotation
- 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour
- 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour
- Weekend premium is $2.00/hour

Qualifications
- Associates degree with sufficient clinical experience required
- Current Michigan RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
- 1 year of medical surgical or CCU experience
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and/or situation, appropriate to the age of the patient served
- The nurse analyzes the assessment data, identifies appropriate nursing diagnosis/problem lists and creates an individualized plan of care for the patient
- Effectively implements the individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrates the ability to evaluate outcomes and adjust the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
- Participates in unit specific and/or hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assists with activities that enhance the quality of nursing practice at HCHC
- Demonstrates a willingness to work as part of a team within own department and with all departments to create and maintain a healthy work environment
- Mentors/Precepts new staff when appropriate
- The nurse demonstrates a commitment to acting as a patient advocate. Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Actively preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights
- Identifies and addresses the educational and discharge follow-up needs of the patient from admission through discharge. Making referrals appropriately
