Senior Lead Platform Architect

As a Senior Lead Platform Architect, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Software Engineering Web Platform team reporting to the Director Platform Architecture, you will support projects including technical architecture and strategies, ensuring delivery of reliable and scalable solutions that meet the needs of the enterprise and its customers within the customer journey on our web platform.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Define the web platform technical architecture and strategies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensure core principles and best practices are followed throughout the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions.
• Participate in tool selection, implementation, and troubleshooting across the customer journey.

How you will collaborate with others:

• Partner collaboratively with architects, developers, and product leads to implement and evolve solutions that enable Hilton to maintain its position as a leader in Hospitality.
• Work with architects, developers, release engineers, and other engineering teams to improve test automation, application performance, reliability, code quality and consistency, delivery, and velocity.

What projects you will take ownership of:

• Ensure technical architecture, strategies and solutions align with business objectives and vision.
• Lead, mentor and interview other developers and architects to evolve and grow the engineering teams.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, Next.js and React
• Experience with large enterprise application development or architecture
• Experience building and managing design systems
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with GraphQL, Node.js, Atlassian Stack, Gitlab, and Tailwind
• Ability to travel up to 15%

It would be useful if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience 
• Ten (10) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Experience with AWS web-related technologies and/or Monorepo
• Experience with front end web testing tools and applications (Cypress, Jest, etc.)
