Job Description
The purpose of the Supplier Quality Engineer position is to support daily production and new model development with Xev electrical supplied parts for Greenfield. This candidate would play a vital role in improving and maintaining the quality of our product. This role would require regular collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, as well as adequate understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Support manufacturing in daily problem-solving activity as related to the supplied parts received
- Manage group of supplier's parts by taking responsibility for the quality performance and any corrective actions
- Travel to suppliers to conduct quality audits and new model process applications
- Communication and travel to suppliers to provide necessary support and follow up with corrective actions / reports
- Provide direction to technical associates as needed and complete any projects assigned by management
- Communicate new model requirement to suppliers, evaluate and create documentation as needed
