Position Overview:
The Project Manager- Generators (PM) is a customer-interacting role responsible for post-order commercial, administrative, and technical support for won projects for the Generator Sales teams. The PM works with sales teams, service and vendors daily for the duration of the project.
The PM requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of concurrent tasks, all while providing the necessary follow-up to deliver an exceptional level of customer service to HM Cragg's customers.
Reporting Relationship:
The Project Manager- Generators reports to the Vice President- AC Power Sales (VP)
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Post-Order and Project Management Support

Follows HM Cragg processes forestablishingproject fileand managing all project data (the Project Snapshot), customer account set up,obtainingapproved terms and conditions of sale.Ensures all requirements for an acceptable order are met-solicitssupport from sales whenrequired.

Enters sales orders in HM Cragg and vendor portals ina timelyandaccuratemanner.

Prepares project schedules, including identification of major milestones, for overseeing, controlling,communicatingand managing all activities required to complete projectsthrough install and start-up.

Create submittalpackagesand documentation,includingOEMstandard, project specific approvaldrawings,generator pad,and one-linedrawings forengineeringapproval, contractor installation, start up,and test procedures.Submits for approval asrequired.

Using available sales tools (GenConnect, manufacturer's pricing guides, OEM project quotation),totrackprojectpricing andcosting for products, materials, labor, OEM services,transportationandlogistics,start up and testandother project specific costing asrequired.

Coordinatesproject communications between all functional groups.

Consultswith various departments within HMC asappropriate toresolve technical issues that arise during the order to shipment cycle and drive to resolution.

UsesGenerac andothersuppliers' tools and applicationstoorderall necessary projectmaterials ina timely,accurateandcost-effectivemanner.

Maintains and tracks relevant shipping details, expectedfactoryexit date,andlogisticsrequirements tofacilitatedamage-free delivery.

Verifieswith sales, consulting engineer,contractorand user any site-specific challengesimpactingany phase of the project to beanticipated- conduct preliminary site walk when practicable.

Performstimelyinvoicingthrough project milestonesas required byHM Cragg'sselling terms andconditions.

Makes collection efforts on past due unpaid invoices.Maintainsaccuratedata inHM Cragg reporting and tracking tools,Implementscollectionsescalation processes when necessary.

Periodically reviews inventory position of certain equipment and proactively orders replenishment.

Completes internal reporting,submitsexpenses at least weekly.

Perform other duties andassignmentsas necessary.

Posting Qualifications:

4 yr. degreepreferredor 2 yr. technical degree plus 2 yr. of related experience-constructionproject management, power generation, electrical or engine mechanical preferred

Knowledge ofgeneratorproducts and familiarity with complementary and competitive products

Experienced in the useof project management software

Demonstrated knowledge of modern business tools and electronic resources incl. computer, internet, email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
