Job Summary:


Holiday Magic Studios is seeking a driven and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sponsorship sales efforts and drive business growth. As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in building and mentoring a high-performing sales team, while also leading by example through direct sponsorship sales during the remainder of 2024. This position offers a rare opportunity for significant compensation growth, as you will earn a base salary along with commissions on both your own sales and the sales made by your team. Additionally, you will receive substantial bonuses for securing new studio location contracts, making this an ideal role for an ambitious sales professional ready to take their career to the next level.


In this role, you will work closely with the Million Magic Moments Campaign Director to pitch sponsorship opportunities that support our philanthropic initiatives. With Holiday Magic Studios rapidly expanding, the potential for aggressive growth in both responsibility and compensation is significant, as your efforts will directly impact the company’s success in securing new business partnerships and sponsorship deals.

Compensation: Salary Commissions


Estimated Total Compensation:

  • $100,000 - $150,000


Commissions:

  • Sales Secured Directly By You - 10% Commission
  • Sales Secured By Your Sales Team - 5% Commission
  • Photo Studio Location / Operations Contracts Secured - $10,000 / location


Responsibilities:


Sales Team Leadership

  • Build, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team focused on selling sponsorships for Holiday Magic Studios and the Million Magic Moments Campaign.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, processes, and training programs to ensure the team meets and exceeds sales targets.
  • Set performance goals for each team member and regularly monitor their progress, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive individual and collective success.
  • Foster a collaborative, competitive, and results-driven sales culture.


Sponsorship Sales

  • Focus on selling sponsorships directly throughout the remainder of 2024, before building a team underneath you.
  • Lead the sponsorship sales strategy, targeting companies and organizations that align with the vision and goals of Holiday Magic Studios.
  • Research and identify potential sponsors within assigned geographic areas who fit the company’s sponsorship categories, using various tools to compile targeted prospect lists.
  • Engage in both warm and cold outreach via email campaigns, phone calls, and other methods to assess leads' interest and potential, ensuring a well-qualified pipeline of prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring contract renewals and long-term partnerships.


Business Development

  • Drive business development efforts to secure new contracts with high-end shopping and lifestyle centers with the goal of 5 new locations in 2025.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers at these centers, overseeing the contracting process from start to finish.


Sales Operations & Client Engagement

  • Maintain accurate records in HubSpot CRM, tracking deals, logging activities, and ensuring that all information is up-to-date for reporting and follow-up purposes.
  • Conduct sales calls and attend in-person meetings with potential sponsors to understand their needs, present tailored sponsorship opportunities, and negotiate terms.
  • Use PandaDocs to prepare customized sponsorship proposals from templates, adjusting each one to reflect sponsor-specific goals and investment details.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors throughout the lifecycle of the sponsorship, managing renewals and introducing new opportunities as needed.


Collaboration with the Million Magic Moments Campaign

  • Work as a team with the Million Magic Moments Campaign Director to pitch sponsorships for the campaign. The Sales Director will leverage their sales expertise, while the Million Magic Moments Director will present the vision of the program, highlighting its positive impact on communities and the goodwill and positive PR it generates for sponsors.
  • Mentor and coach the Million Magic Moments Director on refining their pitch techniques, with the goal of empowering them to independently pitch future Million Magic Moments Campaign sponsorships.


Requirements:


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or sponsorship sales.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, preferably in an experiential or event-based environment.
  • Previous experience in building, leading, and mentoring a sales team or organization.


Skills

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage high-level decision-makers.
  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and sales tools such as PandaDocs.
  • Ability to conduct both warm and cold outreach, and comfortable with prospecting and lead generation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deals, renewals, and client relationships simultaneously.
  • Exceptional presentation skills for in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


Leadership & Mentorship

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing sales team members.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative approach to driving team performance.
  • Ability to mentor others in perfecting their sales pitches and developing independent sales capabilities.


Business Development

  • Ability to establish and nurture relationships with high-end shopping centers, lifestyle centers, and other potential business partners.
