What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Dance Instructor position at Holland, City of (MI)?
This is a part-time position under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. This individual will organize, plan and facilitate dance classes to the community for the City of Holland Recreation Division. The Youth Dance Instructor receives supervision and assignments from the Recreation Manager and the Recreation Program Coordinator, however, the Youth Dance Instructor is encouraged to come up with innovative ideas to promote and grow the recreation department.
1. Plan, organize and supervise dance classes for youth.
2. Will be involved in public relations.
3. Will be involved in Youth Dance promotion.
4. Regularly reviews and inspects facilities and equipment for any potential hazards and reports and submits repair/replacement requests to the City of Holland Recreation Division.
5. Responsible for following safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures. Completes accident reports and files them with the Recreation Division. Provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at all times.
6. Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees and the general public. Maintain a professional image, in person, through email and by telephone.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.1. Must have experience in Dance as participant or instructor.
2. Ability to pass a background check.
3. Physical ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/transport equipment and materials weighting up to 50 pounds. COMPENSATION: $17 per hour (Dependent on qualifications).
