We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/Client Success Specialist to join our team. This role combines accounting expertise with client management, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Correspondence:
- Answer phone calls, text messages, and emails from clients and their related parties (employees, vendors, customers, etc.).
- Maintain professional and timely communication to ensure client satisfaction.
File Management:
- Manage both paper and digital file systems following a set filing structure.
- Ensure all documents are organized and easily accessible.
CRM PRM System Management:
- Input new client information into the CRM and PRM systems.
- Create and assign work to the appropriate team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Administrative Tasks:
- Run errands as needed to support office operations.
- Occasionally manage incoming and outgoing mail to ensure timely delivery and receipt.
Accounting Duties:
- Handle monthly transaction coding and bank reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
- Balance bank/check registers for multiple clients in QuickBooks Online.
- Manage payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Manage an Accounts Payable system for multiple clients, including using QuickBooks to print checks and/or bill pay software, and occasionally communicate with vendors.
- Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
- Prepare/assist with construction draws for multiple clients.
- Assist clients with interpretation of business financial statements and implementation of their business’ financial goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- General understanding of accounting principles and systems.
- Proven experience in accounting and client management/customer service roles.
- Experience in construction accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Proven ability to pick up and learn new applications/software systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and excellence.
- Ability to follow a strict process while constantly seeking more efficient solutions.
- Adaptability to follow custom policies & procedures per each client’s accounting system.
- Personable and able to engage in friendly conversations with clients.
- Brand ambassador mentality, always looking for new connections and opportunities.
- Critical thinking skills, able to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
