As our On-Demand Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate care helping support recipients meet their life goals. You may be assigned to work in the comfort of a support recipient's home or an assisted living site. Everyday we'll rely on you to teach activities of daily living to foster social independence. To thrive in this role, you should be passionate about helping people experiencing disabilities and comfortable with personal care. We'll teach you everything else you need to know.
Position Details
- The On Demand Support Professional schedule varies.
- Requires the On Demand Support Professional to be available to work in a multitude of settings at anytime.
- The location and daily schedule will vary from day to day.
- Scheduled based on Agency need and works at least 40 hours per week and more if needed.
- May cover for overnight staff.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; and,
- Two years of directly related experience supporting individuals that demonstrate challenging and/or aggressive behaviors and require intensive supports that may include continual heightened vigilance in supervision and monitoring, formalized behavior management strategies, and/or verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
