Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week) M-F: Monday 9-5, Tuesday 9-5, Wednesday 8-5:30, Thursday 8-3:30, Friday 9-5:30.

Position Summary
Registered Nurses (RN) working in the Horizon Wellness Clinics are responsible for the overall medical care of assigned individuals, including the service delivery of basic nursing assessments; delivery of client/family education and diagnostic procedures; consultation with physicians; and carrying out of doctor's orders.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or appropriate multi-state license. BSN preferred.
- One year of experience providing nursing services as an RN is required.
Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of community mental health and public health in order to provide advocacy and enhance an individual’s treatment and access to community resources. Knowledge of nursing best practices. Knowledge of the principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, physical health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse. Knowledge of psychiatric/medical medications/treatments. Skill to administer medications. Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required. Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver’s license. May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; transport clients, provide services to client @other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites; Ability to participate in and successfully pass behavioral intervention training; includes both verbal de-escalation skills and physical skills techniques to be utilized with consumers as needed.
