Monday: 5:30am - 1:00pm
Tuesday: 5:30 - 1:00pm
Wednesday: 5:30am - 1:00pm
Thursday: 5:30am - 1:00pm
Friday: 5:30am - 1:00pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a certificate in phlebotomy and excellent knowledge of venipuncture techniques.
Responsibilities include:
- The candidate should be able to properly verify the patients identity
- Blood Collection: Drawing blood using various methods, such as venipuncture or capillary sampling, Straight needles, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Properly labeling blood samples with patient information and ensuring that specimens are transported correctly to the laboratory
- Documenting all procedures, patient information, and sample details accurately for medical records.
- Following strict infection control protocols to prevent contamination or the spread of infection.
- The candidate should also have excellent people skills and attention to detail.
- The candidate will be offering support across multiple locations in New Windsor and Monroe within our practice as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy Certification required
- NHA or ASCP Certification for phlebotomy preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy helpful.
- Minimum 1 Year Experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
