Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices and J2EE applications using Java and related technologies.
- Configure and create Java REST services to handle messaging through platforms like Apache Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub.
- Utilize Docker for containerization of applications and local service deployment.
- Write and execute test cases to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Implement caching strategies using tools such as EHCache and Redis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance and user experience.
- 8-10 years of experience in software development, particularly with Java, Spring, and RESTful services.
- Proficiency in using development tools like IntelliJ or Eclipse.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools, including JUnit.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud services, specifically Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in continuous integration and deployment practices using GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of database systems, particularly Oracle and Cassandra.
- Adaptability to learn new technologies and frameworks as needed.
