Tech Center Operator

Description:

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.

The Tech Center Operator assists with the running of tests on powders for the purpose of demonstrating equipment capabilities. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and cleaning of test equipment.

Duties:

• Assemble/disassemble equipment before and after testing.
• Transport powders to equipment for testing.
• Frequent movement required to test powders with equipment.
• Record machine parameters.
• Analyze powder particle size upon completion of testing.
• Prepare materials for packaging and shipment to customers.
• Repair equipment as necessary.
• Attend safety training.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 years of knowledge and experience using hand tools including screw drivers, bx wrenches and socket wrenches.
• 1 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• 1 years of experience with assembly/disassembly of industrial equipment.
• 1 years of experience in an industrial or laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of forklift certifications for 5-wheel warehouse forklift and stand-up reach forklift.
• 1 years of experience with laser diffraction particle size analyzer.
• 1 years of experience with powder handling.
• 1 years of experience with powder processing equipment.

Skills:

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively with internal/external customers.
• Ability to obtain and provide accurate information.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally ascend/descend ladders to service, assemble and disassemble equipment and piping.
• Required to transport up to 50lbs frequently.
• Capable of remaining stationary and upright for the duration of shifts.
• Must be able to wear the required PPE as specified for the role, including but not limited to: masks, gloves and face shields.

Rate/Salary Range:

$43,758 - $70,610

Rates/Salaries will vary and may be above or below this range commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
