What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Operator I position at Howard Energy Partners?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring proper flows, temperatures, pressures, and levels. Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Ability to operate plant processes using an HMI control system preferably Delta V, Wonderware, or Ignition.
- Recognize equipment abnormalities. Communicates with maintenance regarding significant repairs.
- Responsible for recording of parameter values, completion of operating reports, notification of environmental deviations, and equipment lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Comply with PSM regulations.
- Basic training and system awareness completed (i.e., SCADA, SOP's, AOC)
- Basic understanding of operational capabilities across all systems and facilities
- Basic knowledge of gas and liquid hydraulics/pressures, control schemes and operational limits
- Follows SOP's
- Performs basic component blending calculations.
- Clear documentation of events and communicating to fellow employees
- Adheres to all safety and company policies.
- Basic understanding of crisis management and incident response plans
- Always available for scheduled on-call/relief duties. Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Actively participating in company safety program and initiatives
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Awareness of upstream and downstream quality specifications
- Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness and drive to learn tasks at hand.
- Good, clear, concise, and thorough written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform Shift work: routinely work holidays/weekends that occur during the shift
