Our client, a global, privately held consumer goods company headquartered in Manhattan, is seeking a Staff Accountant to own Accounts Receivable and support core accounting and close functions. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple sales channels.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, issue, and record invoices; process customer payments and maintain account records within the company's financial systems.Manage accounts receivable activities, including customer communication, collections, and reconciliation of the AR subledger to the general ledger.Maintain accurate aging schedules, monitor outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical reporting.Assist with cash management activities such as ACH, wire, and deposit processing.Reconcile financial data across systems, partner with internal teams to resolve variances, and contribute to process improvements and documentation.Support ad hoc projects and ongoing accounting initiatives as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable.Strong understanding of accounting principles and comfort working within ERP and accounting systems.Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.Clear communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience supporting multi-channel or consumer-facing businesses is a plus.
Salary : $60,600 - $79,800
