CAD Designer Summary:
The CAD Designer will be responsible for designing school and commercial bus seats and their components. Creating 3D CAD and 2D drawings. Defining and maintaining part numbers and BOM’s. Managing product data within company PDM system.

CAD Designer Responsibilities:
- On a daily basis create detailed design documentation (CAD, drawings, BOMs, specs, standards, etc.).
- Aid in the selection of materials for the products.
- Upload CAD, drawings and BOM’s to PDM system. Submit JDE setup request forms.
- Support Controlling and Sales Teams with product costing process.
- Estimate time and costs required to complete project.
- Regularly maintain and update BOM’s to capture engineering changes, procurement, or supplier changes, or encompass general updates.
- Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies.
- Pursue ongoing education in the field.
CAD Designer Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 year degree in related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's or Certifications (preferred)
- 3 years experience utilizing Autodesk Inventor CAD software and Vault Pro PDM
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Minimum 5 years working in a professional environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
- Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time
