CAD Designer Summary:
Create 3D CAD and 2D drawings of school and commercial bus seat parts. Define and maintain part numbers and BOM’s. Manage product data within company PDM system.

CAD Designer Responsibilities:
- Attend regular development meetings
- Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process
- Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs and 2D drawings
- Make revisions to models as requested
- Create part numbers and Bill of Materials for new assemblies.
- Regularly maintain and update BOM’s to capture engineering changes, procurement or supplier changes, or encompass general updates
- Upload CAD, drawings and BOM’s to PDM system. Submit JDE setup request forms
- Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies
- Pursue ongoing education in the field
CAD Designer Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 year degree in related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's or Certifications (preferred)
- 3 years experience utilizing Autodesk Inventor CAD software and Vault PDM
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Minimum 3 years working in a professional environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
- Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time
