Overview

The Volunteer Programs Coordinator will proactively manage data, software programs and logistical communications. This is a full-time, temporary role expected to be approximately 6 months, subject to business needs. This role supports each stage of the volunteer recruitment cycle, generates reports to regularly assess volunteer information and ensure data integrity.  The successful candidate will also coordinate the scheduling of onboarding and training sessions and work regularly and collaboratively with the rest of the Volunteer Programs Team. While this role does not work with shelter animals directly, this individual must have a strong support of our mission to save and enhance lives, both 4-legged and 2-legged.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manage onboarding, registration and other events on Springboard.
  • Send and track required volunteer documentation and manage volunteer account information in our volunteer database.
  • Coordinate and schedule new volunteer registration, onboarding, training and first shifts.
  • Monitor and collaborate with Volunteer Department to ensure volunteer schedule coverage.
  • Work with Volunteer Programs team members to ensure volunteer database accuracy.
  • Generate metrics to identify volunteer trends and use this to help the Volunteer Department make decisions about process optimization, scheduling, training and capacity.
  • Process monthly reports for Volunteer Department metrics and financial reconciliations.
  • Address general inquiries by phone, email and in person for the Volunteer Department.
  • Track and resolve missing or lost volunteer access keys and ID badges.
  • Other job duties may be assigned as needed.


Requirements


  • Experienced in an administrative support role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong initiative and able to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to effectively leverage technology for data and analytical purposes.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).

     

    Work Days and Hours
    This role is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.
