Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Catering Manager to join our team. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our catering operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality service. Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all catering events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings
- Manage the catering team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with clients to create customized menus that meet their specific needs and preferences
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of food and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and at event venues
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address any concerns or issues
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or Assistant Manager in the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of catering operations, including menu planning, food handling, and kitchen management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and vendors
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices
- Culinary background or understanding of culinary concepts is preferred
- Familiarity with coffee service is a plus
- Experience conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
