Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role is critical in providing accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient care within a fast-paced environment, such as a Level I or Level II trauma center, emergency room, or urgent care facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging by explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure the safety of patients by following radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and findings.
- Maintain equipment functionality by conducting routine checks and coordinating maintenance as needed.
- Document all patient interactions and imaging procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and best practices in imaging techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center, emergency room, or urgent care setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing CT scans; experience with PET scans is a plus.
- Knowledge of physiology, nuclear medicine, emergency medicine, and mammography is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
