Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and the principles of diagnostic radiology. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in various specialties, including Ob/Gyn.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to discuss findings and provide necessary information for diagnosis.
- Document all procedures accurately in accordance with medical protocols and standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance skills and improve patient outcomes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in sonography techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure safe practices during procedures.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging and patient care.
