Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Cytotechnologist to join our clinical laboratory team. Responsibilities
- Perform microscopic examinations of cellular samples, including Pap smears and fine needle aspirations.
- Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring proper collection, processing, and labeling.
- Utilize various laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, and blood banking to assist in diagnostic processes.
- Maintain accurate records of findings and communicate results to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory environment.
- Participate in clinical trials by collecting data and assisting with research projects as needed.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in cytotechnology to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with specimen collection processing and laboratory procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation is a plus.
- Experience with laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, and blood banking will be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to cytopathology.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
