Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Dialysis to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort during their treatment sessions. Responsibilities
- Administer dialysis treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout the dialysis process.
- Provide catheter care and manage complications associated with dialysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in discharge planning and provide education to patients and their families regarding home care needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Conduct assessments related to acute care needs, including airway management and medical imaging when necessary.
- Support patients with disabilities by adapting care approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Perform suturing as required for patient care procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in dialysis nursing or acute care settings preferred.
- Proficient in catheter care techniques and management of dialysis access sites.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and durable medical equipment (DME) is advantageous.
