Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring patients with cardiovascular conditions through the use of advanced sonography techniques. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, such as a Level I Trauma Center.
Duties
- Perform echocardiograms and other sonographic procedures on patients to assess heart function and structure.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Document findings accurately in medical records and communicate results to the healthcare team.
- Monitor vital signs during examinations and respond appropriately to any changes in patient condition.
- Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques to enhance patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in Emergency Medicine practices related to cardiology.
- Strong knowledge of Sonography principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with working in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of human Anatomy, particularly cardiac structures.
- Experience with Cardiac Catheterization procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to monitor Telemetry readings effectively.
- Knowledge of Aseptic Techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology relevant to cardiology and echocardiography.
- Competence in assessing Vital Signs accurately for patient monitoring.
