Job Description: This position is responsible for planning, preparing, issuing and controlling production schedules and inventory requirements to ensure a smooth flow of approved materials timed to meet production as well as customer requirements. This position is critical to the company by providing the highest level of customer service through inventory planning. Job Requirements: Processing work orders Review Safety Stock Levels for any product below the appropriate level Review Forecast to maintain approved levels Generate Suggested Work Order Reports to determine which WO to process Generate WO based on Non-Stock Request via E-Mail, AS400 downloads, back order, reports and phone calls Resolve substitution request when needed through deviations from engineering group Schedule and reschedule requirements based on capacity and customer demand Coordinate with Buyers regarding potential raw component shortages Daily follow up on production plan Generating and printing daily reports for production control group Processing/printing and distributing work orders Populating and updating product master database Assist other production planners as required Produce Hot Sheets for Manufacturing Departments Respond to Task List from Customer Service Produce Segment Inventory Report as Required from Management Experience: Strong knowledge of PRMS system running on AS400 platform Strong knowledge of MRP processes and basic inventory principles Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel Education: High school degree of equivalent preferred Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred or supply chain or equivalent experience as a production planner. CPIM preferred. SAP Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Supply Chain Take the next step!
