HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Basic Duties:

• Advise and assist with detailing the operational requirements and the functional interactions within the system and with other systems, considering life cycle costs, logistics supportability, human factors, et al, to determine if the basic building blocks of the system are defined in sufficient detail to support a development program effort.
• Assess mission needs and current armament capabilities and deficiencies to determine relative importance and potential payoff of current and proposed statements of technology need.
• Translate DoD user requirements into system requirements for designing, developing, testing and evaluating systems and subsystems.
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
• BS degree and eighteen (18) years of professional experience
  
  

Preferences:

• Capability development (pre-acquisition) experience in developing Capability Based Assessments (CBAs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), market research, and trade space analyses
• Sensor and Seeker background
  
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
  
  

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire.
