Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect to lead cloud architecture, implementation, and optimization initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle Cloud and enterprise infrastructure design, along with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing services in Oracle's OCI cloud environment.
- Cloud Architecture & Engineering: At least 8 years of overall IT experience with solid understanding of public cloud principles, especially in cloud infrastructure setup, security, and governance.
- Cloud Security & Compliance: Experience in reviewing proposed IT changes/projects from a security and compliance perspective, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards.
- Networking in Cloud: Proficient in designing and troubleshooting cloud networking including virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, load balancers, and network security groups.
- Enterprise Systems Migration & Management: Experience with migrating, implementing, or managing enterprise operating systems/applications in a cloud environment.
- Documentation & Communication: Strong documentation skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review, and implement OCI-based cloud solutions in alignment with enterprise standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with customer agencies, internal IT teams, and cloud vendors to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure delivery.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide architecture recommendations to improve performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
- Assist in governance activities and reviews to ensure proposed changes follow cloud best practices and security frameworks.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance for OCI environment optimization and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OCI Cloud Certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional).
- Experience working in government or large-scale enterprise environments.
- College degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
