Security Project Manager

Primary Function:

The Security Project Manager manages and controls all financial aspects, scheduling deadlines, manpower requirements for security projects ranging from $10k- $3million. The PM also provides the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products, software and hardware installations, technical support and manages all aspects of the project.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct project management of company security projects.

• Manage and control project budgets, forecast to complete values, and change order management.

• Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations and support to appropriate systems which includes evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of problems.
• Coordinate and/or perform additions and/or changes to a variety of security related systems and attached devices which includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of related hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot at the physical level of the system, working with systems measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices.
• Participate in planning design, technical review, and implementation for new systems.
• Provide technical consultation, training and support related to the installation and maintenance of systems.
• Ability to quote small projects and forecast labor for us to achieve an appropriate profit.
• Manage all field personnel and support staff to ensure consistency and profitable installations.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in the construction industry is a must, 6 – 10 years’ experience with hardware and software installation and maintenance in a security related environment or combination of education and experience.
• Application security systems related certifications and training.
• Must have experience in managing and controlling project costs.
• Current Security License.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and presentation software.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
