Bookkeeper

About Us:
Icon Construction is a fast-paced, growing company specializing in asphalt, concrete, and facilities maintenance. We're looking for a highly organized, experienced Bookkeeper to manage our books, process a high volume of invoices weekly, and deliver financial insights that help drive project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a large volume of vendor invoices weekly
• Maintain accurate and timely records in QuickBooks
• Track income and expenses for individual projects
• Prepare project-based financial reports to assess actual vs. estimated costs
• Generate and maintain WIP (Work in Progress) reports
• Assist with bonding paperwork and financial documentation requirements
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Support payroll, job costing, and budgeting as needed
• Assist with year-end closing, tax prep, and audits

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
• 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or a related field
• Experience preparing WIP reports and tracking job profitability
• Understanding of bonding processes and required financial documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Clear, professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with project-based accounting and cost tracking
• Experience working with general contractors or subcontractors
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)

Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience. Benefits available after 90 days [modify as needed to include PTO, 401(k), insurance, etc.].

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.38 per hour
