Position Summary
We are seeking two ambitious, entry-level Business Development Associates to support the growth of our advisory teams. Your core responsibility is to prospect and generate qualified discovery meetings with business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals. You will be trained in sales best practices, prospecting techniques, and industry knowledge, and will work closely with our advisory teams to help them build and maintain robust new business pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person drop-ins
- Leverage IDA’s CRM database, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other lead sources
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings between prospects and wealth advisers
- Maintain detailed records of all outreach and follow-up activities in our CRM
- Collaborate with marketing to optimize campaigns and lead generation tools
- Attend weekly sales huddles and monthly team training
- Participate in firm events and workshops as needed to engage with prospects
Success Metrics
- Number of outbound touches (calls, emails, LinkedIn messages)
- Number of qualified discovery meetings booked
- Conversion rate of booked meetings to client opportunities
- Pipeline contribution per month / quarter
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interest in sales, finance, or wealth management
- Coachable, hungry, and driven to succeed
- Experience with CRM and prospecting tools (preferred but will train)
Compensation Plan
- Annual On Target Earning Expectation of $70k-$100k in year one
- Incentive Bonuses for qualified discovery meetings scheduled
