PART TIME: Tuesday-Friday STEM Instructor (2:45 p.m-4:45 p.m) Tu-F

MUST HAVE STEM experience or be willing to learn

MUST be able to control a class of 18 Pre-K/elementary students (PK- 5th grade) independently

MUST be available every Tuesday-Friday starting August 26th-December 19th, 2024 from 2:45 p.m to 4:45 p.m (October 6th-October 10th & November 25th-November 28th no class)

Teaching from 3:30 p.m-4:25 p.m

Prep time 2:45 p.m-3:25 p.m then 4:30 p.m to 4:45 p.m

$40 per class (per day) 2 hours a day

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for the safety of all children in the group ranging in ages from 3-10 years old
• Actively engaged with students while implementing STEAM based curriculum
• Follow curriculum/lesson plans to facilitate the planned activities
• Provide direction and support to fellow staff members
• Ensure that classroom is compliant with all relevant state regulations and standards
• Serve as a role model to the children in the group through appearance and actions
• Maintain an environment that is safe, clean, and inviting

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• The afterschool teacher qualifications must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience required
• All afterschool teachers must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification required (we can help you with this)
• 1 years of experience working with children ages 3-10 preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong organizational skills
• Must be able to actively participate in the afterschool programs while ensuring that all health and safety regulations are met or exceeded
• Must possess the ability to meet and maintain all policies and procedures at all times.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
