Facility Maintenance and Operations:
- Oversee the maintenance of buildings, office spaces, and all other company facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance work as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes and regulations.
- Negotiate contracts with external service providers for cleaning, maintenance, security, landscaping, and other facility-related services.
- Monitor and assess vendor performance to ensure high standards of service are maintained.
- Ensure that services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that the building complies with fire safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to mitigate risks, including emergency preparedness and disaster recovery plans.

- Plan for space needs and coordinate office moves, reconfigurations, or expansions.

- Prepare and manage the facility management budget, ensuring all costs are within financial guidelines.
- Monitor and control costs related to building maintenance, supplies, and services.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency.
- Implement and promote sustainable practices such as energy-efficient systems, waste reduction, and green building initiatives.
- Monitor energy usage and develop strategies to reduce consumption.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding facility-related concerns or requests.
- Work closely with department heads and senior management to ensure the facilities meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Maintain records of all facility-related activities, including maintenance schedules, repair work, and vendor contracts.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on facility performance, budget status, and other key metrics.
Candidate must have some or all of the following skills and abilities:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (typically 5 years) in facilities management or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Strong understanding of building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, vendors, and management.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
