Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position is M-F, No weekends, no holidays, no call. 4 10- hour shifts per week with a rotating day off, 0630-1700 Required: Graduation from surgical technology program Provides patient care in outpatient surgical operating room by utilizing aseptic technique while focusing on the needs of the surgical patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation. As a contributing member of the health care team, participates in a comprehensive surgical plan of care for assigned patient. Facility is an 8 operating room suite and does a variety of specialties (ENT, Ortho, Sports Med, optho, urology, gyne, and general). Demonstrates basic case preparation. Selects equipment & supplies by use of preference cards. Locates basic equipment & supplies. Identifies & demonstrates methods of surgical reprocessing of instrumentation & supplies. Prepares self for the scrub role. Prepares surgical instrument supplies for surgery.
