SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Provider Resources Training Program Supervisor, the Provider Program Training Coordinator is responsible for coordination and facilitation and reconciliation of activities related to provider training all work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organization standards.

This incumbent will be expected to promote and adhere to the workplace core capabilities of: accountability, customer focus, continuous quality improvement (CQI), communication, competent people and clear priorities. All work to be completed in accordance with organizational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The organization reserves the right to add to, delete, change, or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.

  1. Coordinate and/or facilitate training for family child care providers, and/or center based program staff.
  2. Coordinate the quarterly publication of the early Care & Education Resource with other necessary program staff, and marketing team.
  3. Provide coaching and technical assistance to providers and center program staff related to training and other support programs.
  4. Assist with the development and maintenance of a pool of trainers and consultants for training and resource needs.
  5. Use DTP database to reconcile professional development trainings.
  6. Prepare written quarterly reports of training expenditures and provide timely updated reports to Community Partner Directors and Training Coordinators.
  7. Execute our workplace core capabilities of: accountability, customer focus, continuous quality improvement (CQI), communication, competent people and clear priorities.
  8. Other Functions: The organization may assign other functions to the job at its discretion

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields (ECE, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Child Welfare, Family Services

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Illinois Driver’s License and proof of insurance.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of early childhood care / education programs.
  • Ability to work independently, with a schedule which may include evenings and/weekends
  • Organization and attention to detail skills.
  • Writing, editing, and speaking skills.
  • Creativity and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to be flexible in daily activities in response to legislative or member requests.
  • Ability to travel statewide, as needed.
  • Bilingual - fluent Spanish or Polish preferred.
  • Hybrid work schedule - in office (required occasionally) and remote work schedule.
