What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anesthesiology Physician position at ILR Health?
Experience the beauty of the US Virgin Islands while working as an Anesthesiology Physician in a variety of exciting locum positions. Our hospital partner in St. Croix is seeking temporary coverage, offering a unique opportunity to practice medicine in a stunning island setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience with general and regional surgeries, orthopedics, OB/GYN, GI, and orthopedic cases, with no open heart or neuro surgeries. Occasional healthy pediatrics may also be involved. The typical daily caseload is 12-14 cases per day, with supervision of CRNAs ranging from 20% to 80%.
A comfortable and supportive work environment is provided, with 24-hour call responsibility shared with another doctor on the island. Call can be taken from home after hours, and weekend calls are from Friday to Monday morning. Anesthesia locums covers labor epidurals as well as general OR cases.
Supervision of CRNAs is a mix of approximately 20% supervision, 80% own cases. This is a great opportunity for Anesthesiologists to enjoy a beautiful island location, experience diverse case types, and develop leadership skills through CRNA supervision.
Salary : $250,000 - $500,000
