Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Waukesha, WI 53186
Duration: 18 months with possible extension
Pay rate: $24/hour on W2
Hybrid: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
Job Description:
This role is responsible for making sure customer orders are shipped on time, correctly, and at the lowest possible cost from multiple DFS warehouses and partner sites across the U.S.
You will be the main person handling shipping, carriers, SAP entries, and problem-solving for customer deliveries.
Skills:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics / Supply Chain
Experience with:
Domestic shipping
Warehousing & distribution
SAP or ERP systems
Strong problem-solving
Good communication
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment
What You’ll Do:
1. Order & Shipment Handling
You will:
Create and manage shipments in SAP
Coordinate with warehouses for picking, packing, and dispatch
Prepare shipping documents (delivery notes, labels, customer paperwork)
Book and coordinate carriers (trucking companies)
Track shipments and follow up on late or delayed deliveries
2. Work With Warehouses & Carriers
Communicate with 3rd-party warehouses and transport companies
Resolve issues like missed pickups, damaged goods, delays, or wrong deliveries
Act as the first point of contact when something goes wrong
3. Ensure Accurate Inventory
Support cycle counts at external warehouses
Make sure warehouse systems match SAP inventory
Report and help fix inventory mismatches
4. Handle Complaints & Claims
Investigate shipping problems or customer complaints
Support freight claims (lost, damaged, or late shipments)
Follow issues until they are fully closed
5. Control Delivery Performance & Costs
Track Transportation Reliability (on-time delivery)
Review carrier invoices and fix billing errors
Help keep shipping costs under control
6. Improve the Process
Look for ways to make shipping faster, cheaper, and more reliable
Help implement new carriers, new processes, and system improvements
7. Communication
You will work closely with:
Customer Service
Planning
Warehouses
Carriers
Internal logistics teams
You will proactively inform teams if any shipment may be delayed.
