Position: User Support Specialist III
Location: Onsite: 150 Bergen St, Newark, NJ 07105
Duration: Min. 3 Months until FTE Fills position with a month overlap for transition after FTE is selected.
Shift timing: Monday through Friday. Both shifts are 7am to 3pm EST. If the candidate is here for more than 2 months, both would be put into the normal overnight rotation during the week from 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am.
Pay Rate: $37/hr on W2

On-Site Requirement: Yes. Monday through Friday. Both shifts are 7am to 3pm EST. If the candidate is here for more than 2 months, both would be put into the normal overnight rotation during the week from 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am.
FTE Eligibility: Temp may be rewarded with being converted full time by normal apply process. Since this is entry level we usually take at least 2 months for resumes to be complied with, more than enough time for the temp worker to apply and show their skills. FTEs in this position also rotate working either Sunday through Thursday, Monday through Friday, or Wednesday through Saturday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Supports the end-user community in the effective access and use of University Hospital information resources and compliance with infrastructure and operating standards.
- Monitors and troubleshoots HL7 Protocol Application interfaces.
- Provides tier 1 support for Clinical Application, and other ancillary systems.
- Troubleshoots printing issues incorporated with University Hospital applications.
- Develops and maintains documentation as related to this position.
- Performs basic hardware repair.
- At all times, demonstrates interpersonal skills suitable for customer service environments.
- Assists with the preparation of documentation and informational materials for non-technical users.
- Relates with the end-user community in a manner that promotes confidence in the client and the image of IST as a professional service-oriented organization.
- Understands and accepts the responsibilities of working in a 24/7 environment.
- Understands and adheres to University Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in University Hospital's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and University Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in use or support of desktop computing.
- Must be proficient in PC support and be able to work in a team environment.
- Effective oral and written communications skills.
- Equivalent experience, education, and/or training (IT certifications) may be substituted for the education requirements.
Salary : $37 - $40
