Hadoop and PySpark Developer

Infosys is seeking Hadoop and PySpark Developer. The position will primarily be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python and Spark, from Analysis, Design, Model to Coding & testing and promote to production, especially Python server-side backend programming
• Good understanding of OOPS concepts
• Strong knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading and memory management, concurrency (GIL)
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
• Experience in Big data ecosystem using Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Python packages and libraries for large scale data

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sound Knowledge of Software engineering design patterns and practices
• Strong understanding of Functional programming and RESTful APIs
• Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts Knowledge of large data sets and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Planning and Co-ordination skills
• Good Communication and Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Ability to work in teams in a diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
