Description
The Veterinary Technician at North Airline Animal Hospital is a crucial member of our veterinary team, acting as the primary medical support for our veterinarians. The Veterinary Technician helps improve the efficiency of our veterinarians by taking on technical tasks and administrative duties.
Here is What Your day May Consist of:
- Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture
- Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral)
- Assists with radiographic procedures
- Perform diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing
- Provide care to hospitalized patients
- Client communication and education
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Dental prophylaxis
- Surgical monitoring and assisting as needed
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
- Two years of previous veterinary technician experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Experience assisting in surgery
