Biologist

Requirements:

* Bachelors in Biology or similar degree.

* At least 3 years of practical Biology experience

* At least 2 years of working with federal regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, FIFRA)

Job Description

Seeking an individual experienced in providing environmental support in execution of environmental compliance in Biloxi, MS supporting a federal contract over the next 7 years. This position pays from $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This individual will support the civil engineering team by conducting facility environmental inspections and ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and Department of Defense environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities include:

*Maintain Integrated cultural and natural resource plans

*Conduct formal and informal Environmental Assessments (EA’s).

*Coordinate with adjacent state and federal agencies for any actions affecting cultural or natural resources. Follow up and assist facilities/units on completing corrective actions.

*Attend environmental planning meetings.

*Assist environmental program managers with field research

*Assist the Compliance Program in other ways as needed.
