What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHIEF ACCOUNTANT position at Insight Global?
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Chief Accountant to join their Finance team. This person will be overseeing and reviewing the work of and collaborating with the Fixed Asset Accountant and the GL Analyst. This position involves coordinating the monthly, quarterly and annual General Ledger system closings, assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, and supervising the preparation of monthly reconciliations, the record keeping, maintenance and reporting of fixed assets, and debt.
The first 10 days of each month will be spent on month-end closing. The rest of day-to-day will include reviewing journal entries, financial statements, investigating discrepancies and collaborating with the General Ledger Analyst and Fixed Asset Accountant.

Degree in Accounting.
Government Accounting experience.
Any Oracle Product (Oracle EBS etc).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
2 years supervisory / managerial experience.
3-6 years of experience overseeing financial reporting & fixed assets.
Detail-oriented.
