Insight Global is partnering with a national turnkey mechanical and process construction firm to hire a Chiller Technician to join their team in Austin Texas. This client offers preconstruction and construction services while specializing in installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and process systems. Customers include major firms in the biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial sectors. As a Chiller Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing chillers in a variety of settings. You will need to be knowledgeable in chiller construction, chiller systems, and safety regulations.

Completion of a Union Apprentice Program OR 5 years of experience with commercial chiller maintenance and repairs.
EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for handling refrigerants.
Proficiency in reading electrical / control schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with chiller systems efficiently.
