What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content Project Manager position at Insight Global?
We’re looking for a strategically minded Content Taxonomy Program Manager to oversee our digital content repositories and help drive alignment between decentralized content efforts and a global content framework.
About the Role
This role requires experience in cataloging, archiving, and maintaining digital assets. Sometimes known as an “Enterprise Content Librarian & Analyst,” you’ll partner closely with business units/content producers (like our proprietary AI tool, field and corporate Sales teams, Brand/creative, Editorial, etc.), and technical teams (Scheduling/registration etc.) to map local taxonomies to a global schema, identify inefficiencies or gaps, and help create a consistent metadata foundation that supports smarter reporting, reuse, and delivery—without owning content creation itself.
Responsibilities
- Oversee digital content repositories.
- Drive alignment between decentralized content efforts and a global content framework.
- Catalog, archive, and maintain digital assets.
- Serve as the connective tissue across content-producing teams and technology.
- Ensure structured, scalable, and searchable systems for enterprise-wide content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in content management, digital asset management, product information management, taxonomy design, metadata strategy, or digital library sciences.
- Proven success in cross-functional program management, stakeholder alignment, and governance development.
- Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, information architecture, and content lifecycle workflows.
- Working knowledge of copyright and data privacy laws.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Skilled communicator who can translate technical concepts into digestible business insights.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience with structured content systems (e.g., DITA, headless CMS platforms).
- Familiarity with localization workflows, content delivery platforms, and internationalization standards.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and structured data.
- Understanding of semantic data, linked data, or knowledge graph principles.
- Background working in large enterprise or matrixed organizations with decentralized content models.
