Insight Global is seeking a Material Planner to join a leading semiconductor technology firm in San Diego, CA. This is 12-month contract role is pivotal in managing material flow and production schedules in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate material coordination, supporting on-time delivery and production goals.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material requirements with master scheduling, procurement, engineering, and production teams.
- Track and resolve material shortages, conducting regular meetings with procurement to mitigate risks.
- Analyze manufacturing capacity and adjust plans to meet build commitments.
- Apply industry best practices to resolve planning issues and support production efficiency.
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and cross-functional coordination.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and MRP.
- Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in high-mix, short lead-time production environments.
Compensation:
$35/hr to $40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
