Pay Rate : $28-31 / hr
Our large Telecommunications customer is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer who will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure in the greater Ft. Washington area. This work will include designing upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant telephony network which includes all structures (such as poles and conduit systems), cable (copper & fiber) and associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment for multi-tenant buildings. The Engineer will monitor and analyze residential requirements for multi-tenant building locations within a geographical turf and design solutions to extend cable or copper services into residential locations. He / she will coordinate with a variety of departments and also have direct customer contact with building management, property owners, and / or residential tenants. The Engineer needs the ability to work in a diverse environment, indoors and outdoors, business and residential, and must be able to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. The Engineer must be able to price out solutions and select the most effective design. The Engineer has the authority, up to a set dollar limit, to choose and implement solutions independently. Ultimately, this Engineer must be capable of designing routine and specific outside plant work orders, both distribution and feeder, and must be capable of providing administrative and field support to the outside plant work forces.
This position will be a mix of working in the field, the office in Ft. Washington, and remotely from home once fully trained to work independently.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience working as an Outside Plant Engineer
- Ability to manage high pressure and visibility, and complete work assignments independently
- Familiar with the network design process for either poles and conduit systems, cable (copper & fiber), or associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment for multi-tenant buildings

Compensation :
28.00 / hr to $31.00 / hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Healthcare benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, financial protection benefits, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options. 401k retirement account access is offered starting on the 90th day with employer matching after one year of service.
