What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Data Analyst position at Insight Global?
On a day-to-day basis, I spend a tremendous amount of time doing analysis within IDS architecture and communicating with internal and cross-functional teams. The communication portion of the role could be owned by the Product Owner. Since I had previous relationships with some of the IDS customers and my knowledge of systems, I may have been taking up work from that role too. Below is a sample of what I am working on now :
Heavy data analysis to find what data we get and what would change as part of the project effort.
I recently pulled metadata from all 1500 tables located in a database and find anything that can have sensitive customer data for a project. This takes a ton of time to do but having knowledge of data sources was able to make it much easier.
Reviewed specific tables of data and assess what information IDS systems need to meet project requirements
Met with cross-functional teams to discuss requirements, timelines and expected outcomes.
Create and refine test cases to ensure the highest level of data quality.
Technologies / Languages :
Advanced to expert level knowledge of SQL
Microsoft Excel - Needs to be able to do vlookups
JIRA (high level understanding of Agile methodology)
