The OR Nurse Manager promotes and maintains patients' health and safety by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multi-disciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychological support for patients, families and caregivers.
Requirements :
- BSN or equivalent experience
- Current RN state licensure
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- 2 years of PACU
- Experience in Plastics and Aesthetics
- Experience in the OR
Day-to-Day :
The Nurse Manager will work closely and partner with the Physician, Practice Manager and the Director of Nursing in the performance and delegation of nursing duties to provide the best nursing care possible to the surgical patients.
In addition to assisting with the care of surgical patients, the Nurse Manager will be responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice, coordinating nursing and training programs, and recognizing and assisting in solving problems within established policies and practices.
