Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in vertical construction for large-scale projects ranging from $20M to $50M. This role is owner-side project management, overseeing design, construction, and hand-off to facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven experience managing complex vertical builds, particularly in public-facing, governmental, and safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vertical construction projects from design through completion and facilities hand-off.
- Oversee large-scale new construction projects, including highly technical builds such as Sheriff’s safety complexes.
- Ensure alignment with safety and emergency response standards.
- Coordinate project inspection and final turnover to facilities teams.
- Work closely with governmental agencies (e.g., Tax Collector) and ensure compliance with public-sector requirements.
- Manage systems integration: fire suppression, electrical, HVAC, life safety, and other critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and quotes for project phases.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in vertical construction (not horizontal or underground work).
- Expertise in fire suppression, electrical, HVAC, life safety systems, and retrofits.
- Experience with public-facing facilities such as office, medical, aviation, and healthcare.
- Strong understanding of civil and engineering principles for vertical builds.
- Proven ability to manage $20M–$50M projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- GC License (General Contractor).
- PMP or PMI Certification.
- Prior experience with government-related projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with design-build processes and working within existing spaces.
