Clinical Director- Western Region
The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight of all clinical programs. Develops and implements goals and objectives of the residential, outpatient, care management, and medication assisted treatment programs. Provides clinical supervision to core clinical staff. The Clinical Director works with the Leadership team in the development and implementation of tools and training curriculum and implements policies and procedures to drive forward a culture of excellent care for all individuals working for and/or associated with the program to ensure that quality and comprehensive service is being delivered on all levels. The Director promotes the use of the evidence-based practices in all treatment services with the goal of promoting a safe and comfortable environment for all individuals.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

2) Apply agency policies and procedures for effective delivery of clinical services (Client Services, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Medical Records)

4) Be of good character and reputation; sufficient physical, mental, and emotional health to satisfactorily perform her or his job duties.
5) Actively participate in safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting client safety as well as environmental safety.

7) Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding client rights and confidentiality.
8) Comply with documentation and training set forth by state and federal regulations.
LEADERSHIP:
1) In collaboration with the executive team, plays a key role in the overall development, strategic planning, service delivery, and management of the organization.
2) Provides administrative and clinical leadership to program managers to support and develop the provision of treatment services.
3) Approach to deliver high-value care that is financially feasible and sustainable.
4) Evaluates the needs for the delivery of services, recruitment, interviewing and hiring to fulfill program needs; staff assignments; completion of performance appraisals and managing employee relations.
5) Deploys resources efficiently and effectively toward organizational goals, working with staff to balance workload and effort, and provide ongoing feedback so that staff can continuously improve their supervision and mentoring skills.
6) Identifies external organizations/providers/community groups to build effective community collaborations and professional relations.
7) Oversees grant funded clinical initiatives and ensure delivery of services and appropriate and timely reporting.
8) Creates a work climate that emphasizes collective team performance.
9) Builds and maintains strong working relationships with agency staff and supervisors, as well as external contacts.
INTERNAL CLINICAL LEADERSHIP:
1) Oversees the implementation of evidence-based practice standards across all disciplines consistent with the organization’s mission, and communicate the philosophy and strategies to executive, management, clinical and direct support staff.
2) Directs the delivery of the MH and SUD treatment services and clinical and community-oriented services.
3) Reviews and responds to legal concerns or requests regarding clinical services.
4) Develops and provides leadership over the development of a competency-based trauma-informed clinical curriculum and training program for all staff.
5) Provides individual and group supervision of clinical staff.
6) Works in a consistently professional manner at all times, which includes, but is not limited to, treating all residents, clients, staff, guests, and volunteers with dignity and respect.
7) Implements emergency procedures as necessary.
8) Performs other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
1) Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with friendly and professional demeanor.
2) Experience and comfort working within a substance abuse treatment setting preferred.
3) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with astute ability to articulately present material in front of large audience.
4) Team-player outlook. Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
5) Ability to be flexible to the daily changing needs within the community and to handle obstacles with compassion and resolve.

Education: Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, education, social work, or related field.
